Engineering Research Munich Hotel

I have been in Munich for a week and a half conducting some fascinating research in a specific field of electronic engineering. It was a great honour to be invited by the Technical University of Munich to help their team out with some ground breaking research that they have been involved in for the last few months. It was such a highly productive and enjoyable time that I am going to summarise a small part of my trip and the research that was conducted there in this short article.

engineeringThe Technical University of Munich is a world class institution which has a number of highly acclaimed departments working in many different fields of research. I specialise in nanotechnology research that could be potentially applied to a number of different fronts of engineering and science. While staying in a Hotel Munich (Hotel in München) during this period I helped a team out with the initial design and study phases of a certain nanofabrication technique that I had almost successfully implemented last year.

Using a hotel as my base during this time turned out to be a great idea as it allowed me to easily access the university while also being close to everything so that I didn’t have to waste any time cooking or shopping for food. I have also managed to find a little time to have a good look around Munich while I have been here, and it is really a remarkable city. The team that I have been working with have been fantastic, they are all highly thankful for the research that I have already done while at the same time pushing my work on to new and exciting levels. A lot of people are seem a little scared by nanotechnology, but it has a huge potential to help so many different industries including medicine.

The facilities at the university were good and the equipment they are using was similar enough to what I am using for me to be able to use it without any extra training. I am only here for another week and I hope that is enough time to see the results of my work in action. Regardless of that though, I have total faith that with me here or not, the team at the Technical University of Munich will be triumphant in breaking down the barriers in nanofabrication. The only question is whether I will be here or not to see it when it first happens, they are so close to a breakthrough.

The staff at this Hotel Munich (Hotel in München) have been great, one of the bell boys even seemed to be familiar with my work. I am not a celebrity or anything, but I was featured in one article in science magazine, he probably recognised me from that. One thing is for sure, I will definitely be coming back to Munich some time soon. I would love to have a few spare days to enjoy some of the many art galleries and museums that seem to be scattered all around the city. Right now though all my hours are taken up at the university, helping to hopefully be a part of the history of nanofabrication engineering.
